Islamic Academy Of Manchester

The Islamic Academy of Manchester, registered as a charity, proudly stands as one of Manchester's earliest established Islamic organisations. For 40 years, our foundation was rooted in the former Sunday School of the Welsh Baptist Chapel on Upper Brook St in Ardwick, M13. We gratefully announce that we have now constructed a purpose-built mosque, City Jami’ Masjid, situated in the city's heart along the dominant Stockport Road. Our academy was established in 1974 under the insightful guidance of Allama Dr Khalid Mahmud (rh), following the principles of the esteemed Islamic scholar, Hadhrat Qari Muhammad Tayib (RA). Tayib served as the Rector of Darul Uloom, Deoband, U.P, India, for an impressive 60 years, and was the descendant of Maulana Muhammad Qasim Nanotvi (RA), the founder of Darul Uloom, Deoband. Under the tireless efforts of our team, our branches will adhere to the virtuous philosophy of Hakim-ul-Islam.
