Ilford Islamic Centre

The Ilford Islamic Centre is the largest and most renowned Mosque in Redbridge. Its fame now extends far beyond the boundaries of London and it is recognised throughout the nation. Over time, it has evolved into an essential hub for Redbridge's Muslim community, offering an array of services to cater to their needs. Conveniently located in the heart of South Ilford and in close proximity to the Ilford Town Centre, the mosque is easily accessible by all means of transportation. This accessibility contributes to its bustling congregation, most notably during the Jumah prayer sessions.

Newbury Park Masjid

The Newbury Park Mosque (NPM) is nestled in the verdant outskirts of Newbury Park, in East London, and is couched amidst an idyllic greenbelt, offering stunning vistas and a tranquil ambiance. Established in 2008 by a dedicated group of local Muslims intent on creating a communal space for the worship of Allah, NPM's tale is one of faith, perseverance, and community spirit. The initial stages involved significant fundraising efforts, and, by Allah's providence, a plot of land was procured at an auction from a former Salvation Army site. Here, an initial portacabin was set up to host a modest congregation for prayer. However, with the increasing local demand for communal prayers, the restricted space was soon inadequate, prompting the erection of an interim wooden structure that could house a congregation of around 100. Today, NPM is housed in an architecturally devised, two-storey building, complemented with a subterranean level, offering capacity for 300-400 worshippers. Registered as a non-profit charity organisation, NPM is overseen by an Executive Committee composed of nine elected members. They appreciate the weight of their duties that Allah has conferred upon them and in guiding the mosque’s direction, major religious concerns are voiced, contemplated and approved in consultation with 'Ulamaa, Imams, and our Sharia Board, under the ethos of Ahlus Sunna wal Jama'ah. We envision making NPM the heart of the local community, offering religious and civic services to all Muslims and fostering bridges of understanding and dialogue with the broader society. Presently, the Newbury Park Mosque serves as a cornerstone of local pride, extending beyond Newbury Park and resonating with the wider community of Essex, and attracting Muslims from across the country. We warmly invite all to our revered place of worship.

Seven Kings Muslim Educational Trust (SKMET) was founded in 1982 by a group of Muslims from the local community. Their sheer determination, sacrifice and hard work has enabled the community to have a place where they can offer prayers and learn about Islām. May Allāh (S.W.T) grant them all paradise. Āmīn. The Trust is a charity, registered with the Charities Commission, in the UK (Charity No. 286459). The vision of Seven Kings Muslim Educational Trust is to serve the needs of the diverse local Muslim community and to build relations with the wider non-Muslim community. We are committed to a peaceful and prosperous Redbridge where communities learn from each other and work together for the common good.
