Baitul Jabbar Mosque

Established in 2014, the Shahporan Islamic Centre Bristol serves as a dedicated full-time mosque, facilitating daily congregational prayers and imparting Islamic education to the North Bristol Muslim community. Initially stationed within a converted shop on Filton Avenue, the centre swiftly outgrew its capacity due to an overwhelming response. Subsequently, we relocated to Greystoke Avenue, where we could offer our services in a dedicated and larger space. Here, we conducted Madrasah classes, provided prayer facilities, and organised community vaccination clinics. Leveraging the generous support from our community, we are proud to have purchased and moved to our own premise on Doncaster Lane. This building bears a rich historical significance as a former church which was transformed into a scout building prior to our acquisition.
