Jamia Al-Nur

Jamia Al-Nur was established in 2012 by the esteemed Hazrat Sufi Nur Muhammad Naqshbandi Sahib (HafizahUllah), an eminent pupil of Shaykh Sufi Muhammad Aslam Sahib (RahimahUllah). The institution was founded with the aim to fulfil the educational and spiritual requirements of the Muslim community in Ashton-under-Lyne. Their dedication and foresight have sustained our ability to offer services at Jamia Al-Nur. Under the skilled guidance of proficient and sagacious educators, Jamia Al-Nur has played a fundamental role in shaping the children and teenagers in the local community. We groom them to be self-assured individuals, bolstering the understanding of their religion. This empowers them to practice their faith and helps to deepen their comprehension of it. In addition to catering for young people, Jamia Al-Nur embraces individuals of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. We ensure a range of services with an overarching principle of tolerance and respect for everyone within our diverse community. Through numerous educational courses and community projects, Jamia Al-Nur has solidified its status as a secure community centre. Here at Jamia Al-Nur, charitable work both within the UK and overseas forms a significant part of our mission. We work constantly to provide food parcels to those in need and are always there to support the less fortunate. We also offer counselling and support sessions for those seeking guidance and solace. Furthermore, we facilitate the observation of the five daily prayers, conduct evening madrassah sessions, and hold weekly dhikr gatherings along with an array of other services customised for individual needs.
