Al-Muhassin Mosque is located within the Minor Land of Fadak. It is the first and currently only fully functioning Shia Muslim Mosque in all of Europe. The Mosque is named after the martyr, Al-Muhassin ibn Ali (peace be upon Them both), the unborn son of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon Her) - both of whom were killed by Omar ibn Al-Khattab (whom Allah has deprived His mercy from) after the Event of the Door, again very soon after the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him and His Pure Household). In accordance to the Sunna (tradition) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him and His Pure Household), the Mosque is outdoors, and prayers are performed, congregationally, beneath the sky. We have been informed, through our narrations, that this is how the mosque of the Holy Prophet originally was, and prayers performed in this way are most rewarded. Daily prayers are led usually by one of the Sheikhs present at the Mosque. All other congregational prayers, such as Eid prayers on Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha, as well as Salatul-Ayat, are also performed in the Mosque. For the sake of Ihtiyat (precaution), Fajr (dawn) prayer is congregationally performed at the Mosque one hour before sunrise (and not at the time of the Adhan); however, the Dhuhrayn (midday) prayers and Isha'ayn (evening) prayers are performed at their respective times of Adhan. We identify the Mosque as the home of the Rafida Shia worldwide. At the same time, we welcome all to attend the Mosque whether Muslim or non-Muslim. If you would like to attend to pray, learn about Islam, discuss or even debate, you are most welcome to join. Please get in contact with us if you would like to know more about us, or just wish to have chat.
