Raza Jamia Masjid

We warmly welcome you to Raza Jamia Masjid (RJM). RJM officially opened its doors on 15th December 2017, following a construction period that spanned over two years and five months, having commenced in July 2015. The cost of the facilities amounts to approximately £8.5M and spans an area close to 42,000 square feet. Our mosque pays homage to Imam Aḥmed Raza Khan (ra), a revered scholar and reformer of the 20th century from the Indo-Pak subcontinent. The term 'Jamia' denotes a sizable public mosque capable of accommodating Muslims for Friday prayers. The mosque's establishment can be tracked back to 1969 when the first mosque of Accrington was instituted on Blackburn Road. In addition to facilitating daily prayers, we also run a community centre which aims to cultivate peace and promote community cohesion. RJM observes a 24/7 schedule, allowing Muslims the liberty to pray at their convenience. RJM has been entirely funded by public donations. Operating RJM necessitates significant care and maintenance. We invite you to contribute towards our efforts. Please click on the donation button should you wish to offer your support to RJM.
